Radio Announces Iron Maiden Split after Next Tour
Last sunday night on ¨Tiempos Violentos¨ the heavy metal show of the Rock and Pop Radio (The most important rock radio in Argentina and in other Latinamerican Countries) the host (Gustavo Olmedo) announce a possible end of Iron Maiden after this year-next year world tour.Obviously a lot of e-mails arrived to his show to ask for further details about the news, or about the source, but he said nothing.
The CIE/Rock and Pop Radio GROUP is the promoter for the biggest rock acts in Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
Tiempos violentos, was the 1st one to announce the reunion with Dickinson, and the departure of Blaze Bayley.

I don't belive anything that comes from the mouth of that guy. I'm from Argentina and I know that those things never are real. Olmedo is the one who said that Purple wouldn't come to Argentina and he was mistaked.

Given that the radio channel is linked to a promoter (if I understood correctly) seems nothing more than the usual cry to sell more tickets early (and maybe to get more dates). It's very unlikely that something so important is not announced by the band itself as soon as it's decided.
Nothing to worry. Maiden will be around for another 4-5 years. They will do this tour, for the album. And next will be the history tour part 2 in 2007. Then a new album again, and tour 2008. Then the last part of the history dvd tour.
Then we can wave them a well deserved farwell. And maybe like KISS, do a farwell tour.
Though I don't think Maiden would have done farwell tour every year like KISS...
I hate these kind of rumors but Bruce said they will play for at leas five to six years unless somthing bad happends to them wich would suck

Bruce said that "unless something terrible happens, Maiden will be around until at least 2012." So it's probably a rumor.
i love maiden. and the rumour my friends is fake. and maiden will be here till 2015 at the max. maiden have never let there fans down. they will go on till the end.
This same rumour has circulated ever since Bruce left in '93. Maiden will keep going as long as they are still enjoying it and are physically still capable of touring.
Maiden are like the B-52 bomber. Coming up to 50 (or in Nicko's case mid-50's) and still going as strongly as they did when they started.

I do understand them. They are gettin old (even if I never thought I'm the one to say it) but I don't agree that the albums since Fear Of the Dark has just become worse each time. I don't like the albums from the blaze-era as much as the ones where Bruce's on, but they aint really that bad. I think we, as fans, should let them retire. they've done so much, and the music's incredibly good. But I wouldn't like to see them retired just yet, and I don't belive they will retire in about 5 years. And I hope they don't because that would crush me.
I just got word that Bruce is going to join the British navy to fight Iraq.
I don't Maiden will end after this tour, so what they're getting old but the Rolling Stones have been out longer than Maiden and their still rocking. In my opinion, Steve will probably end Maiden when he feels the time is right, which I beleive isn't yet. Some of the members will only be turning 50, and in Nicko is already in his 50s. But look at it this way, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, the Rolling Stones and Judas Priest all all older than Maiden and still rocking.
PS: Everyone in Judas Priest is older than Maiden except for Priest Drunner Scott Travis he's younger than Maiden.
If This is true ( I don't believe it,but..) i think they will take som years of, and maybe have a reunion later, like many other bands have done.. But Maiden needs to finish the rest of the Early Days story... so maiden will rock for a serval!! UP THE IRONS!! *Can't wait for the new album:D*
